Lovely morning doing yoga on the rooftop. I used clothespins instead of coins to mark my 6 sets of sun salutations!
Then my friends Jim and Chris came by to say hello. We had a little photo shoot.
Walked to the center. I stopped by our restaurant from last night, Ole, Ole, to get the receipt I forgot. I need receipts because of my grant...
I strolled down Loreto Street and some beautiful leather shoes caught my eye. All hand made! Had a lovely visit with the owners.
Visited my school, Academia Hispano Americana. So glad I got to meet and talk with Paulina, Head of the Program at AHA. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jorge and Jane. After we discussed my level of Spanish speaking (zero), they decided I don't have to take the placement exam because I know SO little Spanish! I am indeed a beginner. Whew!
Time for lunch! La Posadita restaurant enjoys a stunning view of La Parroquia. I was too involved with my Ensalada Posadita to take photos of the church. Warm cilantro dressing drizzled over goat cheese, avacados, tortilla strips, chicken and buttery lettuce. The waiters were very kind and attentive. Great place! Great food!
And now, time for a nap and then, the mercado...
The mercado is expansive.
Tomorrow...Art Galleries and Murals!
Wow Jeannie, you've been busy.! Great photos. What a market -- glad you have a big suitcase. Unc
ReplyDeleteYes, Unc, the market is incredible. I'm going to check out the murals at the library by David Leonardo and the street murals at http://sanmigueltimes.com/2016/07/the-largest-mural-in-central-america-is-exposed-at-san-miguel-allende/ today.
DeleteJeannie, it just occurred to me that next trip to Aurora Fabrication, can you capture Tomo? He's the adorable character on the sculpture in front. You can learn more about him and see more renditions inside the gallery to your immediate right upon entering the building.
