AHA School started Monday

Spanish Immersion school started Monday.  It's very challenging, but we have great teachers.  Jessika is very patient with her Level One group and Jorge is quite entertaining in our Diction and Pronunciation classes.  Making great friends in the trenches!  Helga, me, Danielle and Leanne.

Chile rellenos at El Correo Restaurant

I like my new laundry mat.  Only 5 minutes from my place, and the woman did a great job.

I notice a lot of solar units on the rooftops.

...inviting entryways.

Another storm brewing!

June 23 Visit to the Aurora Fabrica and neighborhood art galleries, Baja Fish Tacos Restaurant and evening at El Jardin Square.

Textile factory converted into art galleries and shops.

Store owner Alma from Florence, Italy on the right.

Beautiful handmade lace shawl.

I'm not good at selfies so this worked just fine.

On my walk home, I had the pleasure of meeting the artist Juan Zaragoza.  He was preparing for a big show in the center.  He will be celebrating his 23rd year as an artist!  He prepares all his acrylics with burnt sienna.

More galleries on my walk home...

Great time talking with the curator of David Leondardo's Gallery, Carolina.  She is also an artist-she paints landscapes and does etchings.  We talked about David Leonardo's murals in the library and she also mentioned the murals in the Guadalupe Art District.

Dinner at the Cafe Parraquia and then walked through the center and enjoyed the Corpus Cristi Festival.

Some murals in the Guadalupe Art District.  June 23, 2017
